A Newfield man was killed in a motorcycle accident Thursday night in Tompkins County.

State Police say two Harley Davidson motorcycles were riding west on Millard Hill Road in Newfield just before 9 p.m. and as they were cresting a knoll, one of the motorcycles crossed over into the oncoming lane and was struck by a Subaru Forester. After the initial contact, the two motorcycles then collided.

30-year-old Louis Loiselle, of Newfield, was airlifted to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre for undisclosed injuries, while the driver of the other motorcycle, 26-year-old Wesley Demming, later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the car, 19-year-old Scott Watkins, also of Newfield, was taken to Cayuga Medical Center for head injuries.
