Man Drowns in Ithaca Falls

A man drowned in Ithaca Falls Friday morning.

Police were called to the Falls in the area of Lake Street at around 6:40 for the report of a dead person in the water. The man’s body was located near the base of the Falls. It was confirmed his death was a result of drowning and foul play is not suspected.

Ithaca Police say no further information will be released at this time.

Bangs Ambulance and the Ithaca Fire Department assisted the Ithaca Police Department at the scene.
