The New York State Department of Transportation is warning drivers that portions of State Route 14A (Main Street) in the Village of Dundee will be reduced to one lane with alternating traffic for a pavement project.

The lane restrictions will affect Saunders Street to Spring Street/Hollister Street and Water Street to Hillcrest Drive from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., starting Monday.  Work is expected to continue through the end of November, weather permitting, with flaggers controlling traffic.

Motorists should expect delays and consider alternate routes if possible. Drivers are reminded to slow down in work zones, as fines are doubled for speeding, and multiple violations could lead to driver’s license suspension.
