Kids Can Learn to Swim at Taughannock Falls State Park

Two young girls in sunglasses and inner tubes splash in a sunny swimming pool.
Children enjoy a sunny day swimming in a pool, an activity promoted by local learn-to-swim programs.

If you have a child between the ages of 5 and 12 who wants to learn how to swim, they’ll have a chance next week thanks to the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation, and Historic Preservation.

Starting Monday, a two-week Learn to Swim program will be held at Taughannock Falls State Park in Trumansburg. Skill levels will be determined at the first lesson and instruction will be based on the American Red Cross Water Safety Program.

Participants must register with Kaitlin Crane, call, or text 607-766-1425, or email [email protected]
