The Village of Penn Yan is inviting the community to help name a local park formerly known as “Pudgies Park.”

Officials say the park, located on Lake Street, could be officially named Walkerbilt Park to honor the Walkerbilt Company, which once operated on the site. Residents also have the option to suggest their own name that better reflects the park, the neighborhood, or its history.

Village leaders are encouraging everyone to share their ideas through a short online survey.
