North Vine Valley Road at Robeson Road in Rushville was shut down for over two-and-a-half hours Monday after a dump truck hauling stone overturned.

An investigation by the Yates County Sheriff’s Office determined the driver, Mark Lohr, of Shortsville, was unable to negotiate a sharp downhill curve and overturned. Lohr was taken to Thompson Hospital by Middlesex Ambulance for treatment of minor cuts to his hand and face.

The Dresden Fire Department’s HAZMAT spill response team, Middlesex and Rushville Fire, along with Yates County’s Office of Emergency Services, responded to the scene.
