A Middlesex man was taken to the hospital after his car went off the road, traveled 25 feet down an embankment, and struck a tree.

The accident happened early Sunday morning on West Avenue in Middlesex. 28-year-old Steven Hall was traveling north when he lost control of his car after attempting to stop for a deer in the road on an icy road. Hall missed the deer and his car spun 360 degrees before going off the road. Hall was taken to Thompson Hospital for treatment of left leg and left side pain.

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Middlesex Ambulance and Middlesex Fire.
