A non-profit organization has donated body armor for the K9 officer of one local village police department.

K9 Bud with the Bath Police Department received a bullet and stab protective vest from Vested Interest in K9s, a charity established in 2009 whose mission is to provide these types of vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement.

Since its inception, Vested Interest has provided close to 5,000 vests in all 50 states at a value of $6.9 million, made possible by private and corporate donations.
