The Penn Yan Community Cafe has been chosen as this year’s Community Table Dinner recipient.

Established in 2024, the Cafe is a nonprofit dedicated to addressing food insecurity among the impoverished and homeless populations in our region. Located within the Penn Yan United Methodist Church, the café offers nutritious meals and supportive services aimed at helping individuals achieve financial independence.

With the help of Community Table Dinner, the Cafe can work toward its goal of broadening the scope of its services by offering clients support as they navigate the social services network. This expansion will be facilitated by an office situated close to the Penn Yan business district.

Since its inception, the Community Dinner has raised over $51,000 for Yates County non-profits. This year’s dinner on the Main Street Bridge in Penn Yan will be held on September 6th. Tickets will go on sale soon.
