Schuyler County Sheriff Warns of New Scam

The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office is warning residents about recent scam attempts reported in the community.

Officials say individuals have received phone calls from people falsely claiming to represent the Sheriff’s Office. Authorities emphasized that the Sheriff’s Office will never ask for personal information, retirement account access, banking details, or other financial information over the phone.

Residents who receive such calls are urged not to provide any information and to report the incident immediately.

Anyone who believes they may have been contacted by a scammer is asked to call the Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office at 535-8222.
