A one-car accident early Sunday morning claimed the life of a Farmington woman.

According to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, Alyssa Coleman was driving on County Road 4 in Geneva at around 2 o’clock when she veered off the road and crashed into a large tree. The 36-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

An initial investigation indicated that alcohol and speeding were both likely factors in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
