Woman Killed After Rear-Ending Sweeper Truck in Marion

A Wayne County woman was killed Monday morning after she crashed her car into the back of a sweeper truck.

Michelle Nesbitt, of Marion, was traveling south on Parker Road in Marion when she rear-ended the sweeper truck belonging to the town. The 49-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the sweeper truck, 55-year-old Steven Taber, of Marion, was not injured.

Police are still trying to determine why Nesbitt crashed into the truck.

Assisting the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office at the scene were New York State Police, Wayne County ALS, Western Wayne Ambulance, Marion Fire Department, Walworth Fire Department and Featherly’s Garage
