The new Skoi-Yase Playground in Waterloo, featuring modern, accessible equipment, is set to host a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Waterloo Central School District and the Skoi-Yase Parent Teacher Group will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday to celebrate the opening of the brand-new playground at Skoi-Yase Primary School.

Superintendent Sarah Cupelli, Skoi-Yase Principal Jon Roberts, and a randomly selected Skoi-Yase student will have the honor of cutting the ribbon at 4 p.m.

The playground is part of the district’s ongoing capital project and features two new swing sets, jungle gyms, a climbing wall, slide, kid-safe turf, and more—all proudly branded in Waterloo’s orange and black.

District leaders say the project reflects their commitment to creating safe, engaging spaces for students to learn, play, and grow.
