United Way to Hold Bag Sale at Outlet Mall for Ovid Fire Victims

Donated clothes, toys, and household items fill a room, collected to assist Ovid fire victims in the Finger Lakes region.

The United Way of Seneca County has stopped accepting clothing donations for Ovid fire victims due to an overwhelming response from residents and businesses. According to Rhonda Jasper, the organization will use a donated storefront at the Finger Lakes Outlet Mall in Waterloo later this month to sell excess items, aiding others in need.

The $5 bag sale idea originated from the Ovid VFW, which raised $2,000 through a similar sale of excess donations a few weeks ago.
