Two people were hospitalized following an ATV crash in the Village of Sodus Wednesday night.

Police say 26-year-old Dean Lanning of Sodus was operating an ATV with passenger Amber Woodhams, of Naples, when it struck a fallen tree and overturned. Both Lanning and Woodhams were ejected. Lanning was airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital with multiple injuries, and Woodhams was taken to the same hospital by ambulance. Authorities say both suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.

Sodus Fire Department, Wayne County EMS, Williamson EMS, and Mercy Flight assisted at the scene.
