Two people were taken to the hospital after a truck hit a lawnmower in Savannah.

The Clyde-Galen Fire District told Finger Lakes News Radio the incident happened on Tuesday along Route 31 when a lawnmower travelling west along the shoulder of the road was struck by the truck, also travelling west. The mower was pushed into the guardrail and its driver was thrown approximately 50 feet down a steep embankment.

The lawnmower driver was taken to Upstate and the truck driver was sent to Auburn Community Hospital, both for non-life-threatening injuries.
