Truck-Motorcycle Collision Claims Life in Wayne County

A motorcycle and pickup truck collided in Wayne County on Tuesday resulting in the death of a 62-year-old Palmyra man.

State Police reported that the accident occurred around 5 p.m. on Jeffrey Road near State Route 21 in Palmyra. Brian O’Connor, driving a Chevy Silverado east, attempted a left turn and was struck by a westbound motorcycle as it crested a hill.

The motorcyclist, Jeffrey Wamsley, was pronounced dead at the scene. O’Connor was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
