Sheriff Timothy Thompson has issued a Travel Advisory in Seneca County as a result of the National Weather Service’s Winter Storm Warning. Snowfall rates could approach one inch per hour this afternoon and overnight making driving conditions dangerous.

A travel advisory does not restrict travel; however, it is a warning to motorists that hazardous driving conditions may exist. If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Sheriff’s Deputies will monitor the roadways throughout the duration of the storm and this travel advisory will be lifted when travel conditions improve.
