Toxic Threat In Oaks Corners

Two trailers loaded with new green highway signs and one yellow lane sign under a blue sky.
New highway signs, including one for Palisades Center Drive, are stored on trailers, likely for a local infrastructure project in the Finger Lakes region.

Police have not released all the details, but a man surrendered to police yesterday after reports he might have released toxic material in the air filtration system at Elderlee, Inc. in Oaks Corners.

Ontario County Sheriff’s Deputies and Oaks Corners Firefighters responded to the highway safety products plant Monday morning and took a man to the psychiatric emergency program at Clifton Springs Hospital & Clinic.

The Finger Lakes Times reports the Ontario County emergency management office investigated with meters and determined the air was clear.
