The town of Geneva and the state DEC have discussed a plan to reduce the deer population. Town Supervisor Mark Venuti said it’s an ecosystem problem.

Venuti says the DEC says a sustainable deer population is 10 to 12 per square mile.

Venuti said a town committee that has been working with the DEC on the matter will have another meeting soon.
