Three Candidates Seeking Geneva Police Chief Job

Three Geneva Police officers are being considered as the next Geneva Chief of Police.

Detective Lieutenant Matt Colton, Patrol Sergeant Ron Eveland, and Road Patrol Lieutenant John Van Savage will be interviewed for the job.

Friday, June 30th was the last day on the job for retiring Chief Mike Passalacqua.

Interviews for the position will take place on July 13th and involve traditional interviews with a panel of community, departmental, and city representatives in a closed session. The candidates will also answer questions gathered through a community survey and livestreamed for public feedback. A new chief should be announced by August 1st.
