Teen Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Ontario

State Police are investigating a fatal crash in the town of Ontario that left a 19-year-old motorcyclist dead Friday night.

Troopers say the crash happened around 9:50 p.m. on Lake Road near 181. A 2006 Yamaha motorcycle, operated by the 19-year-old, was heading west when it struck the passenger side of an eastbound 2018 Chevrolet Silverado that was turning into a private driveway.

The driver of the pickup, 62-year-old William T. Ritchie of Ontario, and his passenger, 63-year-old Steven R. Crane of Ontario, were not injured.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and Uniform members are assisting in the ongoing investigation.
