The Sodus Police Department officer accused of stealing items from a home improvement store in Monroe County appeared in court Tuesday.

13 WHAM reports Cory Anderson was arraigned on felony grand larceny charges in Henrietta Town Court. Anderson, who also works as a contractor, is accused of stealing items on four separate dates from Lowe’s. The items were valued at over $2.300.

The Times of Wayne County reported Anderson was also charged with fraudulently returning items for store credit. A seven-year veteran of the Sodus Police Department is suspended without pay pending the outcome of the case.
