After a delay of more than a week, the Seneca Falls Town Board will vote tonight on becoming the lead agency for the environmental review of the Seneca Meadows landfill.

The proposed agreement could bring the town millions if the landfill gets state approval to expand and stay open through 2040.

The plan would replace the town’s 2007 deal with Seneca Meadows, offering more money and stronger environmental protections.
