A Seneca Falls man had to be airlifted to the hospital Friday following a car crash in Yates County.

The Yates County Sheriff’s Office says deputies responded to the area of Voak and Petersburg Roads in the Town of Potter. Michael Popp was travelling north when he exited the roadway and struck a westside ditch.

The 30-year-old was taken via Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital for injuries to his lower extremities.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
