A tragic crash in Seneca County has claimed the life of a Waterloo woman.
Just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, emergency crews responded to the intersection of Sessler Drive and Border City Road in the Town of Waterloo for reports of a serious crash involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
According to the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, 68-year-old Tracy Ann Templeton of Waterloo was riding a motorcycle when it struck the driver’s side of an SUV. Templeton was ejected from the motorcycle, and life-saving measures were attempted at the scene. She was transported to Geneva General Hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
The driver of the SUV, 43-year-old Joseph Greene of Romulus, was not injured. Investigators say Greene failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign, causing the collision. He was issued a citation for failure to yield.
Border City Road was closed for about two hours as the Sheriff’s Office conducted an investigation.
