After much debate, the Seneca County Board of Supervisors has voted to share some of its sales tax revenue with its villages and towns.

Board Chair Mike Enslow said he’s optimistic.

“I think it’s going to be positive,” Enslow said on FLX Morning. “There are some towns that have really spoken out about using the money for infrastructure, which is important. So, I’m very optimistic it’s going to be a positive thing.”

The county will keep the first $750 thousand of sales tax, with additional revenue being shared among the county’s communities.
