Last weekend, the local Shootout for Soldiers event was held in Canandaigua, where numerous teams came together for 24 straight lacrosse games spanning two days. The event is held annually to raise money for our local and national military veterans’ organizations.

One of those teams was made up of employees of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, a joint effort between members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Employees Association (SCSEA) and the Seneca County Deputy Sheriffs’ Police Benevolent Association (PBA). Some of these members also coached a local youth team that participated in the event.

Sheriff Thompson stated, “We are very proud of our members for their continued support and participation in this fantastic event.” Both Sheriff Thompson and Undersheriff Marquart attended the event in support of the Sheriff’s Office members.
