The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office has issued a boating advisory due to the heavy rainfall it received Friday.

The office’s marine patrol has reported high water levels in Cayuga and Seneca Lakes as well as the Cayuga-Seneca Canal. Debris has also been reported that may be difficult to see due to murky water.

Boaters are urged to use caution while boating in these waters.

Similar advisories have also been issued in Ontario and Yates Counties.
