The Seneca County Board of Supervisors last night, after much discussion, approved moving forward with a plan to share sales tax revenue with the 10 towns and villages in the county.

Now the exact language of the sales tax resolution will be determined.

Lodi Supervisor Kyle Barnhart proposed a plan to share sales tax revenue that comes in each year over what the county budgets.

The plan to share the sales tax will come back for a full board vote before the county begins work on next year’s budget.
