Seneca County will celebrate National County Government Month (NCGM) during the month of April to showcase how the county supports residents and builds healthy, safe and vibrant communities. The Board passed a resolution earlier this month commemorating the occasion and noting that counties fulfill a vast range of responsibilities and deliver services that touch nearly every aspect of our residents’ lives.

“Seneca County is proud of the programs and services we provide to our residents,” said Board of Supervisors Chairman Michael Enslow. “This National County Government Month, we are shining a light on these opportunities and resources in the hopes of strengthening the connection between our county government and the local community.”

“During National County Government Month, we celebrate the vital role counties play in strengthening our communities.” Said Supervisor Joseph Borst, Chair of the Human Resources and Government Operations Committee (HRGO). “From public safety to health services and workforce development, counties are where government meets the people. As Chair of the (HRGO), I’m proud to support the dedicated employees who make these essential services possible every day.”
