The Rural Ambulance Services Task Force was created by the state in 2022 to examine, evaluate and make recommendations to dramatically improve ambulance services in rural areas. State Senator Pam Helming says that legislation has been ignored and is calling Governor Kathy Hochul to make improving ambulance services in rural communities a top priority.
Helming said the bill is set to expire at the end of this year without the task force ever convening.
