Senator Pamela Helming recently marked a remarkable milestone in the Victor community, presenting Harold Elmer Stryker with a New York State Senate Citation in honor of his 100th birthday and lifetime of service.

A proud U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Harold is one of five brothers—all born in Wayne County—who served their country during the war. Their collective service reflects the courage and patriotism of the Greatest Generation.

“Harold is a shining example of what makes our nation great,” said Senator Helming. “It was my privilege to honor his birthday and recognize the values, service, and kindness he continues to share with his community.”

The Senate Citation is one of the highest honors a New York State Senator can award, recognizing individuals who have made significant and lasting contributions to their communities and the state.

Harold’s legacy of bravery and generosity continues to inspire neighbors, veterans, and generations to come.
