The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the driver involved in a hit-and-run that injured a man in the parking lot of the Best Western on State Route 21 in Palmyra.

Deputies say a vehicle leaving the hotel parking lot Monday morning struck a pedestrian, identified as 76-year-old Ralph Mayberry of Arizona. Mayberry suffered a head laceration and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment.

The driver left the scene before deputies arrived.

The Sheriff’s Office says the investigation is ongoing as they work to identify and locate the driver.
