The North Rose-Wolcott Central School District canceled classes Tuesday due to a phone call threat deemed not credible by Wayne County deputies.

The elementary school entered lockout at 8:15 a.m., rerouting buses before students were sent home or elsewhere. Middle and high schools were also locked out as a precaution. Deputies continue investigating but believe the threat came from someone outside the district.

No students or staff were ever in danger.
