Resident Suffers Burns in Wayne County House Fire

One person is recovering after being treated for burns and smoking inhalation from a house fire in Wayne County.

The fire at a multi-family dwelling on State Route 21 at Prospect St. in Williamson Wednesday night started just after 10. Two of the three people inside at the time were treated on scene and the third person was taken to Strong by ambulance.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Williamson, Ontario, Pultney, and Wallington fire departments. Also on scene were Ontario, Williamson, and Webster EMS.
