Ontario County Sheriff David Cirencione says his office has wrapped up its investigation into two Geneva Police Department officers placed on administrative leave earlier this year. The Finger Lakes Times reports the case is now with Wayne County District Attorney Christine Callanan, the special prosecutor assigned for review.

One of the officers, Patrol Officer Nathan Jacon, resigned on August 15 after being on leave since May. Jacon joined the department in December 2023. Sgt. David Felice remains on paid administrative leave while the matter is under review.

Callanan is also handling the separate case of Officer Michael Tapscott, a 13-year veteran charged in May with selling a controlled substance and official misconduct involving Adderall. Tapscott is due back in court on August 27.

City officials have said the suspensions of Jacon and Felice were not directly connected to Tapscott’s case.
