The historic Gould Hotel in downtown Seneca Falls has a new owner. Sam Patel of New Jersey purchased the 48-room hotel, along with its restaurant and bar, for $4 million.

Patel tells the Finger Lakes Times the hotel, built in 1919, will remain largely the same, though he plans to redesign the first floor.

The hotel is open, while the bar and restaurant are closed until a new liquor license is obtained.
