With thousands of people expected to converge on Seneca Falls Saturday for the “It’s a Wonderful Run 5K” that is part of the It’s a Wonderful Life Festival, the town’s police department will be using drones as part of the event’s safety measures. Police Chief Timothy Snyder said the drones will be used throughout the day on Saturday for monitoring and security purposes.

Snyder said they are also requesting that if anyone intends to fly a drone in the area of the Festival on Saturday to report to their Command Post at the Community Center in advance.

“Unauthorized drone flights may interfere with public safety operations, so cooperation is necessary,” said Chief Snyder.
