Police were looking for the driver of the car involved in a one-car crash at the intersection of State Route 245 and County Road 5 in the town of Seneca early Saturday morning.

An investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office determined 29-year-old Roblero Morales, of Geneva, allegedly drove a 2013 Chevy Equinox off the road, struck a utility pole, which caused it to break, and for electrical wires to fall across the road. The roadway was shut down for two hours as NYSEG crews worked the scene.

Police say Morales fled the scene before they arrived and the accident remains under investigation.
