One longtime Ontario County town supervisor is stepping down effective Monday.

Phelps Supervisor Norm Teed tells the Finger Lakes Times he is retiring because of family health issues. The 76-year-old Teed was first elected town supervisor in 2005.

The town’s deputy supervisor, Bill Wellman, will serve out the remaining two years of Teed’s term.
