A Penn Yan company will help complete the final phase of upgrades at Canandaigua’s historic City Pier.

Knapp & Schlappi Lumber submitted the lowest bid – just under $29,000 – to supply composite decking for Pier One. The project is part of a three-year effort to replace aging boards along the boathouse rows, some of which date back to 1888.

The Canandaigua City Council’s Finance Committee has already approved the work, with final approval expected soon.
