Ovid residents gathered Sunday for a prayer service at the Ovid Federated Church following the fire, which took over 400 firefighters and EMS personnel nine hours to control and destroyed eleven apartments and six businesses.

The service offered a space for reflection, support, and hope for rebuilding. Community members shared memories of the historic block and expressed determination to recover. Efforts to clean up the block, recover valuables, and assist property owners continue. Fundraising is still happening.
