Ontario County Sheriff Issues Travel Advisory

A travel advisory is in effect for all of Ontario County through midnight Friday.

Sheriff David Cirencione said with a travel advisory, “Caution is advised since hazardous conditions could be encountered.”

The Ontario County 911 Center received around 30 weather-related crash reports since six this morning. Sheriff Cirencione said a few resulted in injuries but most of the accidents were minor property damage.

Wind gusts will be out of the west and reach 40 mph through 5 PM and then remain at 30 MPH through midnight.
