The Ontario County Board of Elections says nearly 700 early vote-by-mail and absentee ballots have already been returned, with more coming in each day.

The deadline to request an early vote-by-mail or absentee ballot is October 25. Applications can be submitted in person, by mail, or online at elections.ny.gov/request-ballot.

October 25 is also the last day to register to vote for the November 4 general election. The Board of Elections office in Canandaigua will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day.

Early voting runs from October 25 through November 2 at sites in Canandaigua, Geneva, and Victor, with varying daily hours. All 44 county polling places will be open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Election Day.
