Ontario County Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident

A Honeoye man was killed in a motorcycle accident over the weekend in Ontario County.

On Saturday, shortly after 3 p.m., the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police responded to a motorcycle crash on County Road 36 in the Town of Naples.

An investigation determined the motorcycle operated by Randy Wheaton was traveling northwest when he lost control and was thrown from the bike. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

County Road 36 was temporarily closed for crash reconstruction.
