A $10,000 donation was made by NextEra Energy Resources to the Ovid Fire Department and Ovid Federated Church to further help the Seneca County community recover from the January Main Street fire.
Representatives from Declaration Energy Center, LLC, Silverline Energy Center, LLC, Trelina Solar, LLC, and Watkins Glen Solar, LLC, subsidiaries of NextEra Energy Resources, LLC, presented the Ovid Fire Department and the Ovid Federated Church with the combined donation.
The company presented the donation in support of the Ovid community’s ongoing recovery efforts following the fire that devasted the region earlier this year.
A $5,000 contribution was made to the fire department in support of emergency response and fire relief efforts, and another $5,000 was presented to the church for the Ovid Fire Relief Fund.
