New Fire Boat for Canandaigua Lake

The Cheshire Fire Department has a new fire rescue boat.

The new boat is the first of its kind on Canandaigua Lake and will enhance public safety on the water.  The Cheshire Volunteer Fire Department is responsible for protecting 13 miles of Canandaigua Lake from the city line down into South Bristol, representing the largest water district on the lake.

The new fire boat is equipped with modern technology for safe navigation, a 1,250 gallon per minute fire pump, and two Honda 225 outboard engines.
