Another prison sentence has been handed down to the New York City-area man who is already serving a 15-year sentence for kidnapping and torturing a man in April of 2021 in Geneva and a life sentence for kidnapping, torturing, and murdering another man in Elmira three months before the Geneva crime.

According to the Chemung County District Attorney, Eddie Marte was sentenced last week to 20 more years in prison for kidnapping a person, taking them to Pennsylvania, and holding them for ransom in the same month as that Geneva incident.

In the Geneva case, Marte admitted to breaking into a city home with another man and holding the victim at gunpoint, beating him with belts and cords, and burning him with a knife.
