Authorities are investigating after an emaciated beagle and her four puppies were found abandoned in a box at a pavilion in Ontario County Park.
Animal control officers discovered the severely malnourished mother and her puppies on Tuesday in South Bristol. They immediately transported them to the Ontario County Humane Society, where they are receiving medical care and nourishment.
Officials are seeking the public’s help in identifying those responsible for the abandonment. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Ontario County Humane Society at 585-396-4590.
